WEBSITE TERMS OF USE

  1. The medical information provided on our website is general and does not replace the advice of Doctors or other Health Professionals. IFET does not provide any medical advice or service, diagnostic service, or any treatment regimen for its products. Our pharmaceutical products are available provided that they meet the prescription requirements set out.
  2. Articles on future innovations and medical discoveries are published with reservations, as reality may vary significantly, since this information is subject to uncertainty.
  3. Our Links to Third Party Websites are offered for your convenience. We bear no responsibility for their posts and their content.
  4. Copyright applies to part or all of the texts while their republishing without prior approval by IFET is strictly prohibited.
  5. We do not provide support during your browsing on our website and we assume no responsibility for any linking to our webpages.

PERSONAL DATA PROTECTION POLICY

"IFET S.A." has been fully harmonized with the provisions of National and European legislation on the protection of personal data, in particular Regulation 679/2016 of the European Parliament and of the Council on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data ("General Data Protection Regulation" - hereinafter "The Regulation"), as applicable. This Privacy Policy (hereinafter referred to as "the Policy") aims to provide you with general information about the processing of your personal data by "IFET S.A.".

Definitions

Some of the terms appearing in this policy are of legal importance and are defined by the applicable legal provisions. Specifically:

"Processing" means any operation or set of operations performed on personal data, whether or not by automated means. Indicatively, it includes the collection, recording and organization of personal data.

"Personal Data" means any information relating to an identified or identifiable natural person. An identifiable natural person is one who can be identified, directly or indirectly, in particular by reference to an identifier such as a name, an identification number, location data, an online identifier, or to one or more factors specific to the physical, physiological, genetic, mental, economic, cultural or social identity of that natural person.

Principles governing the collection and processing of your data

The collection and processing of personal data by IFET is governed by the following principles as further specified in the Regulation (Article 5): 

  • Lawfulness, fairness, transparency
  • Purpose limitation
  • Data minimisation
  • Accuracy
  • Storage limitation
  • Integrity and confidentiality

Data we collect

The personal data that the Company collects and processes as a controller are absolutely necessary, indispensable and appropriate for the achievement of our intended purposes. Specifically, today the Company collects and processes on its behalf personal data of:

  • its employees, in accordance with the "Employee Personal Data Protection Policy" (which has already been notified to each person individually)
  • customers, partners and suppliers (please refer to the relevant Policy)
  • The person referred to and / or the patient in the context of pharmacovigilance for the products it markets

It also processes:

  • the Internet Protocol (IP) address of your device when browsing the site: www.ifet.gr · The Company does not use cookies to collect traffic statistics (refer to the relevant Policies)
  • Imagery and video data from closed-circuit television (CCTV) and security cameras in the surrounding area of its premises
  • data about requests you have submitted for exercising your rights or for complaints
  • finally, the Company collects and stores the personal data of patients in the context of executing  individual or special hospital orders for medicines imported from abroad. It does not perform this processing on its behalf.

How we Collect Personal Data

The Company collects and processes your personal data through its authorized employees and partners. The collection of personal data is carried out both by physical and electronic means, if applicable, by the data subject or by third parties and generally as described in each individual Policy. The patients’ personal data are received by the principal (hospital, pharmacy) without any further action being required or mediated by the Company. We also collect personal data:

  • At the reception points of our Company's facilities
  • When you fill out forms and deliver them or send them to us
  • When you use the call centre

Personal data processing purposes

The personal data collected by the Company are used for the following purposes:

  1. For the pursuit of the Company's activities in accordance with Article 3 of its Statute and in particular for the provision of specialized health services (release of special category pharmaceuticals)
  2. For the Company’s compliance with its legal obligations, e.g. compliance with tax legislation, public procurement law, etc.
  3. For the lawful conclusion of contracts with third parties in order to be able to meet the legal and contractual obligations imposed by them.
  4. In order for the Company to manage its contracts with its staff
  5. To safeguard and protect the legitimate interests of both natural persons and the Company. For example, we use closed-circuit television (CCTV) and security cameras in the surrounding area in order to protect the security of individuals, materials and facilities.
  6. For sending newsletters
  7. For - after prior identification - contact between us and for the management of your requests whether they are related to privacy issues or to the quality of our service.

Please note that the Company does not use an automated decision-making process.

Lawful basis for personal data processing

"IFET S.A." processes your personal data in a transparent manner, in accordance with the principles of lawfulness, proportionality, confidentiality and integrity, purpose limitation and accuracy, specific time of data retention and minimisation of data.

The lawful basis for processing your personal data where applicable may be:

  1. your consent, that is to say, any freely given, specific, informed and unambiguous indication of the data subject’s wishes by which he or she signifies agreement to the processing of personal data relating to him or her,
  2. the necessity of processing your data in the course of our contractual obligation or at the pre-contractual stage,
  3. the necessity of processing your data in the context of safeguarding our legitimate interests,
  4. the necessity of processing your data in compliance with our legal obligation,
  5. the necessity of processing your data for purposes of providing healthcare or social care or treatment,
  6. the necessity of processing to fulfil our obligations and to exercise specific rights of ours or yours in the field of labor law and social security and social protection law or to fulfil a duty carried out in the public interest,
  7. the necessity of processing data to protect your vital interests

Please note that in accordance with the current legal framework for the provision of treatment services and the processing of your personal data necessary for this purpose, your consent is not required (Article 9 (2) of the General Regulation).

Information Security

The processing of personal data by the Company is conducted in a manner that ensures their security. In particular, it is carried out solely by the Company's authorized personnel for this purpose and all appropriate organizational and technical measures are taken to protect the personal data of the subjects from accidental or unlawful destruction or loss, alteration, disclosure or unauthorized access.

Indicatively, all personnel employed in the Company are bound by secrecy, confidentiality agreement for the privacy protection of your data, and third parties to whom personal data are transferred (see below) are contractually bound with the Company so that they will use personal data only for the specific and contractually determined purposes and will not transmit or disclose your personal data to third parties unless required by law.

Transfer of personal data

"IFET S.A." transfers – where appropriate- personal data it has processed to third parties under contracts that it has signed for the execution of projects or the provision of independent services on behalf of the Company (e.g. transport companies, security companies, software management companies). The Company enters into a special contract, ensuring that your personal data are processed in accordance with the applicable legal framework. These third parties are contractually bound with the Company to use personal data only for the specific and contractually determined purposes and they will not transfer or disclose your personal data to third parties unless required by law.

The company "IFET S.A." may transfer your personal data to law firms and bailiffs for the establishment, exercise or defence of legal claims. The Company transfers your personal data

  1. to judicial and prosecutorial authorities in the performance of their duties
  2. to Greek administrative bodies, which have the corresponding legal authority.

Transfers to third countries and / or international organizations

No such transfer takes place.

Personal Data Retention Period

The length of time during which we retain personal data, simple and sensitive, is reported per data category in the PERSONAL DATA RETENTION POLICY.

Where can you appeal if we violate applicable law on the protection of Personal Data?

You have the right to lodge a complaint at the Hellenic Data Protection Authority (address: 1-3 Kifissias Avenue, 115 23, Athens, tel. 210 6475600, e-mail address: contact@dpa.gr) if you believe that the processing of your Personal Data violates the applicable national and regulatory legal framework for the protection of personal data.
